It wasn’t always this way though…
A few years back, I was at rock bottom. On the surface, I’m sure I looked fine … great six-figure corporate job, part time actor but underneath it all, I was massively out of balance. Relying on quick fixes and unhealthy habits to keep me living the high-life and escape my inner reality.
I remember sitting in my car, in the office car park, having a massive anxiety attack and screaming at the top of my lungs just to muster the energy to open the door and walk into the office.
That day at lunch, realising I needed a massive change or be a risk to myself … I walked out of the office and called my parents, who drove across the country to load my stuff up and I spent 6 months on their couch.
Luckily that’s when I discovered Coaching - I found a coach to help me through this quarter-life crisis, whilst doing that work I felt drawn to training to be one myself … I healed myself the most during that training, but I also discovered just how good it felt to help others unlock their potential, break through their barriers and achieve what they thought was impossible. I was hooked.
Soon, although I was doing what I loved and getting clients great results, my cash flow was scarier than a roller-coaster at Luna Park.
I needed a system that would predictably attract my next client, and didn’t involve spending my entire day stalking random Facebook groups, or sending thousands of unanswered messages to strangers.
During this time I invested with a few ‘gurus’, from whom I learnt a lot, both what to do and perhaps more importantly … what not to do. They all only taught one piece of the puzzle, which wasn’t enough to get REAL results. So, like a Magpie, I jumped around from shiny object to next shinier object … looking for that ‘silver bullet’ to burst through my perceived barriers.

Then I Realised… There Is No Sexy Silver Bullet That Will Ensure Success.
In chasing it, I was ignoring the REAL formula for success. Chasing tactics, but not focussing on the right STRATEGY. There is an age old Success Formula, yes every now and again it ends up looking different, but at the Foundation all business success is built the same way. In fact everything in life is the same, without great foundations, buildings topple … the biggest structures in the world are all built from a really strong base … why else do you think the Pyramids are the largest scale constructions still standing???
Then I Realised… There Is No Sexy Silver Bullet That Will Ensure Success.
In chasing it, I was ignoring the REAL formula for success. Chasing tactics, but not focussing on the right STRATEGY. There is an age old Success Formula, yes every now and again it ends up looking different, but at the Foundation all business success is built the same way. In fact everything in life is the same, without great foundations, buildings topple … the biggest structures in the world are all built from a really strong base … why else do you think the Pyramids are the largest scale constructions still standing???
Things Started To Change…
The Level Up Formula had my business thriving. I’d maxed out the available time I had for my business and my calendar started to own me. But with this came the next BIG PROBLEM … Where was this lifestyle business I had dreamed about?? I was working harder than the soul-sucking corporate job I had left behind. I was burning out FAST and almost quit the industry.
I spoke to the top 1% of coaches that were really making it in this industry and realised I needed to build extra efficiency, I sought experts in business growth and scalability, to guide me in the next step of the business path … building more systems into my business to grow beyond that ceiling.
During one of the courses I teach at a coaching college in Australia, it hit me like a tonne of bricks.
So many early stage coaches leave their training feeling inspired and ready to change lives! Only to burn out and crumble under the weight of trying to figure out the tech, strategy and marketing techniques to actually run a business and be a coach. With only 3% of Coaches still running businesses 5 years after they complete their training I made it my mission to change that statistic, because more coaches means more impact and I can't do it on my own.
